How to cancel Groove Music

To cancel your Groove Music subscription (formerly known as Xbox Music):

cancel Groove Music

  1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/about and log in to your Microsoft account
  2. Find Groove Music on your subscriptions list –> Select Turn off auto-renew
  3. Select Confirm cancellation
  4. You will be able to access Groove Music until your billing cycle is complete and will not get charged going forward

In a past life (or present, depending on which device you’re using) Groove Music was known as Xbox Music. Microsoft has taken the decision that having Xbox in the name presented unnecessary confusion with consumers since you don’t need an Xbox to use it.
